With the Green Lantern Corps having vanished from the universe, the Sinestro Corp is now the supreme force for order in the universe. Their home base of Warworld now exists where Oa used to be at the center of the universe. Their rise to power has weakened and aged Sinestro. Meanwhile Hal Jordan has been corrupted by the power of Krona's energy gauntlet. He forges a new power ring to regain his humanity and become a Green Lantern again, with a mission to find the lost members of the Green Lantern Corps.

There is an 8 page insert in the middle of the book which includes a 4 page promo for DC Rebirth Wonder Woman and Justice League, and a 4 page Snickers ad featuring Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Doomsday. The insert appeared in all DC titles released this same week.

• Forged - The Green Lantern Corps vanished from our universe in Green Lantern Corps: The Lost Army (2015 series). There is a flashback seen showing most of the Green Lantern Corps. There are another couple of panels showing John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Kilowog, Mogo and other Corps members in the present struggling to get back from the other universe where they were trapped in, as seen in Green Lantern Corps: Edge of Oblivion (2016 series). Many Green Lanterns appear in both the present and the flashback, the ones that only appear in the flashback are noted above. Hal Jordan was no longer a Green Lantern at the time when the Corps vanished, so he did not disappear with them. He had left the Corps as a renegade and stolen Krona's power gauntlet, which over time was causing him to change. (See Green Lantern 2011 series, issues 40 and up.) The Sinestro Corps rise to power is a follow-up to the events in Sinestro (2014 series). Additional unidentified Green Lanterns are pictured in the flashback panel.
