Synopsis

Ka-Zar and Zabu fly to the Everglades to help Barbara Morse and Paul Allen search for Ted Sallis. Once there they encounter the Man-Thing and AIM agents. Also, the back story of how Dr Calvin was shot after the origin tale of Man-Thing in Savage Tales #1 is told.

  • Terror Stalks the Everglades! - Man-Thing was last seen in Savage Tales #1. Nick Caputo adds that Romita mainly redrew the woman on pages 13 and 15, and some background art on page 12 and Morrie Kuramoto added/revised some of the lettering on pages 10-16, likely altered in part due to Comics Code restrictions, since the story was originally slated for the black and white Savage Tales magazine.
  • - Letters from: Shirley A. Gorman, John Schuch, and Albert Tindall and a panel from the Ka-Zar story in issue #2. Also a list of the six ranks of Marveldom. Appears between pages 8 and 9 of the story.
  • Sensational Secrets and Incredible Inside Info, Guilelessly Guaranteed to Avail You Naught! [June 1972] - Items about "A Marvel-ous Evening With Stan Lee" at Carnegie Hall, a description of the various editors at Marvel Comics, a note about how Mike Friedrich is writing Outlaw Kid and Dick Ayers is doing the artwork for that and Combat Kelly and the Deadly Dozen (writer is Gary Friedrich), a note on how Barry-Windsor Smith drew and Roy Thomas wrote Avengers #100 (featuring everyone who has ever been an Avenger), Bill Everett (the creator of Sub-Mariner) wrote and drew Sub-Mariner #50, Stan Lee wrote most of Thor #200, Larry Lieber has put together something special for Rawhide Kid #100 and Luke Cage, Hero for Hire was delayed until this month. Stan Lee says that Marvel has finally corralled some of the best new artists and writers and is finally going to put out new comics featuring all of the zingy ideas that they have had.
